Furniture Pads play a major role in making moving worry free because you can feel good about the safety of your furniture and other valuable household goods. Moving blankets are typically available in one size 72''x80'' and vary in weight from about 3 pounds per moving blanket to about 8 pounds per moving blanket. Moving Blankets are often referred to as Moving Pads, Moving Blankets, Shipping Blankets, Furniture Moving Blankets or Packing Blankets.

The way to differentiate moving blankets from one another is to consider the two most common variables. One important variable is the weight of the moving blanket. Furniture Moving Blankets are filled with cotton filler and quilted together with two pieces of fabric. The weight comes from the thickness or density of the filler,usually cotton, in the moving blanket. The other variable is the quality of the fabric. The secong variable you must concider is the fabric of the pad. The three types of fabrics most commonly used in moving blankets are 100% cotton, polyester/cotton blend and non-woven polyester. The cotton fabric is comonly used in our heavy duty mover style blankets. The polyester/cottton blend fabric is a strong material that holds up to all kinds of uses. It's better than non-woven and common in application where you will be reusing your moving blankets. Non-woven fabric is most often used when economy moving blankets are needed. It is a good quality non-woven polyester fabric, but will give you some protection on moving day. It is also great to use in self storage applications.
