L-track comes in different profiles including recessed style, recessed with flanges and angled surface mount. The recessed with flanges profile is commonly used on school buses and airplanes to pinch rubber matting or carpet under the edge. The angled surface mount profile is often used in "toy hauler" trailers.
Recessed L-track requires you to route a channel in the floor for a flush mount. It can also be mounted directly on the floor but will stick up about 1 inch. The surface mount profile can easily be mounted to floors and walls giving you nearly limitless tie-down points.
Available End Caps
For angled (FE752) L track, use Part Number QC06059 end cap.
For flange (FE753) L track, use Part Number QC06058 end cap.
To Drill or Not to Drill
Pre-drilled track can be quickly and easily installed on the trailer floor. However, if you are mounting to the wall, drilling your own holes may be preferred in order to properly line up to trailer posts.
All 3 profiles of pre-drilled L-Track feature standard 82° countersunk holes pre-drilled every 4" (102mm). Each hole accommodates 5/16" (8mm) bolts.
Note About Lengths
L-track is cut within a tolerance of +/- 0.25 inch
Installing L-Track
There are many types of L-track installations and each one can be quite different. Thus, we no longer carry installation hardware. We also cannot provide any instruction for installations for the same reason.
